I'm scared.

Hello all, So the October test will be my last SAT exam and I'm worried , need some motivation :P or your personal story. So my last SAT was in May , It was my second time to take it and I got an 1850 total.

Taking the best sections out of each exam my scores are

Math 690
Writing 620 which I think is pretty good for me ,9 essay and I'm not really good in English
CR 570

Total 1880

The university I'm going to apply to considers my SAT score very good, above 1800 it gives 30 percent reduction ( I live in Egypt :P Our top university is horrible compared to USA but it does guarantee you a good job when you graduate) . So basically I should be satisfied with my score but that is not the case.

I feel I can do much better than that or at least break the 1900 barrier so this summer I have been doing 4 sections from the BB each day but improving slowly. The last two days ; however, were different I finished a CR and Maths exam and I got 610 and 710 respectively.

I was amazed by my CR score, The maths I felt its good that I'm improving although I'm targeting an 800 which I could get it with a little bit of luck. My writing scores however have been worse or the same, So I guess I should focus less on it and more on maths and CR.

So finally, I hope to break the 1900 barrier but more importantly I would love to get a 2000 , then the pressure comes. Now I'm scared I don't do good on that particular exam , what if the maths has a few questions which I have difficulty with, What if they bring a CR passage which I cant relate to.

What if I get the good scores on the practice tests but then comes the exam and I dont do as good .

Anyone had the same experience? share your stories please.

I’ve never taken the SAT, however I have taken the PSAT 3 times. Last year, during my sophomore year I scored a frightening 156. The past 2 weekends i took 2 real PSAT released tests, timed, and scored around 195 and 198.

I barely studied. I took 1 real sat test slowly untimed and reviewed what i missed, and actually read the novels assigned to me in my pre-ap English class.

Good luck.
