Today I was reading through my essay and I notice a grammatical mistake on my essay. I wrote "when I was a five-years old..." FML. What will this do to my application? Instant rejection?

Oh my goodness. Chill out. “Instant rejection?” Over a small grammar mistake? I don’t think so…

Yea they’ll probably discuss it for at least a few minutes before they reject you.

honestly you need to relax. I think i had one or two typos in my why pratt essay and I got in ED.

These things probably happen all the time so if you’re lucky they may not even see it. It’s definitely not an instant rejection, although lets be honest, it doesn’t exactly help your case.

I think most colleges realize that us applicants are not only human, but were stressed out seniors, swamped with applications, when we wrote our essays. A small typo like that isn’t going to hurt your case at all. I mean, someone got into Yale with “Clam Fart” as an EC, so if the rest of your application is strong, they won’t care. Good luck, and try to relax. There’s nothing you can do about it now, so it’s time to just sit back and relax until decisions start coming in the mail.

it’ll pi55 them off, they might just throw out your application

like a nail. They’ll spend a full minute gaping at your application thinking who in the world would do such a dumb and uncommon thing. Then you’ll get tossed because clearly your grammatical error trumps all the accomplishments you’ve achieved in high school.

You could always just withdraw your application now and reserve some of your family’s honor

Blacklisted forever…you won’t even get a job ever

^^^^^ Clam fart? Is that even a typo or is that just someone screwing around?

I think he was messing around with his friend and forgot to delete it before he submitted the app.

The responses here are just absolutely hilarious.

^^ gotcha 10char
