<p>There are some schools which rely on wealthy, partying OOS students to maintain financial viability. A number of them have been featured on I’m Shmacked although they had the reputation long before the series began.</p>
<p>I don’t think students using I’m Shmacked as a tool in their college search is totally out of the question. I think, if given the choice, I would go to UPenn over other Ivys because of the video.</p>
<p>That being said, I think that the videos only appeal to a certain type of person.</p>
<p>I would never use I’m shmacked alone to choose where I want to go to school. However, they do show greek life and the party scene (which I would like to know about) and that can help some students who are torn between schools. Yes college is supposed to be fun and I’m shmacked shows that. It also allows students to see other schools they never would have even thought of </p>
