So I got all of my scholarship stuff out in time, express mailed it, paid $15 and everything...

When today, while cleaning, I found that I had made a dire mistake.
An absolutely deadly mistake.

I forgot to include the application itself with my rec letters and essays.

How could I be so STUPID?

I'm so dissapointed and upset with myself right now.

Okay I'm done ranting.

i'm so so sorry. i really feel for you. is there any way the wash u powers that be would let you mail the app in separately? (though it may be a long shot). it'll be okay. don't stress too much. :)

Contact them right away!!! Put it in the mail immediately and hope for the best. Don't worry. I hate to put in these terms but only 30 people get the scholarships so don't feel too badly

If you mailed the essays, though, I think they'd realize that you made an honest mistake. It's not like you're going to spend hours laboring over "Last name, First name, middle initial" stuff. I'd send it--what's the worst that can happen?

Well, if they have other materials, I would just send the app in now anyway by overnight express. Okay, it's another $15, but other than that, what have you got to lose? If they have your other stuff, send the rest and roll the dice. They've only just begun the review process after all.

I did kinda the same thing with my ED Ervin application, except I didn't realize there were recommendation forms, so I asked my recommender to just send a letter. I felt so stupid when I found the recommendation form online. I even tried to convince myself that it wasn't online when I sent my application....yeah right. lol. give it a try though! good luck!

Thanks so much, you guys.
I sent in the applications today with a cover letter explaining what I did...
We'll just have to wait and see, I suppose!
Thanks again, and good luck to all of you :-)
