I'm so discouraged :/

I've taken 2 SAT tests and 1 PSAT (all as practice) and my score never seems to improve. I review all my mistakes, but new problems arise as i take another practice test.

My average is a 640 in CR, 610 in M, and 670 in W. I usually get -0 or -1 with SC, i usually omit around 6-7 in M , and in writing i rarely get a level 1-3 wrong, but the level 4's and 5's really stump me.

Is there any advice anyone can offer? Usually when i go back to review my answers (in the CR and W sections) i tell myself, "WELL THAT WAS OBVIOUS."

In math, I'm clueless. I'll take a practice test (review ALL the math questions, not just the ones i got wrong), take another practice test, and still get questions wrong, mainly because new concepts appear. I've heard a bunch of CCer's say the math section is easiest to improve on, but so far I've seen no improvement at all.

If I'm scoring around a 1950 by the BB#3, can i expect a score increase by the 9th or 10th BB tests? I've been reviewing my wrong answers, but it doesn't seem to help much (at least not now), and i was hoping that as i take tests, and as i progress through the BB, i'll start to pick up all the math concepts and identify where my CR and W mistakes come from.

Anyone?

Maybe you should try taking a class or getting help from a tutor.

I’m poor, I can’t afford them.

-Hey there, I would share the same sentiment with you. The reason (I think) is because we tend to be too rushed over the question. There is one advice I read from the Barron book saying: You should not rush and try to score as much (meaning u should focus on easier qns first) as possible. Hope this help :D
