I'm so lost, what (CSUs and UCs) school (program) is best for me?

My only goal is to become a marketing manager. I’m at a CCC right know (have done a semester at Sacramento State U). Frankly, I NEED to make a decision.

1st choices.
-CP SLO, SDSU, LBSU, CPP, Fullerton. All have marketing or emphasis in marketing options.

I was contemplating cal maritime, but I think that’s focused more on shipping companies.

Fallback
-TAG with UCSB. Comms. -OR- TAG with UCR- biz admin (minor in global studies).

CP SLO your best bet. Learn by doing and great internship programs I hear

For Marketing, I would consider SLO, SDSU, CSULB and CSUF having the strongest programs. CPP’s program is good, just not as highly regarded as the other 4 schools.

Unless you are local, SDSU and CPSLO are very difficult transfer destinations. As part of their charter, Cal States have to make room for local applicants at reduced admission thresholds. I don’t know your stats and I am not saying not to apply but, there simply aren’t many seats available to students not attending ‘local’ CCs.

Long Beach and Fullerton are close to a toss up. TAG to UCR could be a good target - just be sure to follow the program to the letter.

Others to consider for Marketing are SJSU, SFSU, Chico and Sac.

Good Luck.
