Im taking the CHSPE so do I still need to pass the CAHSEE?

I know that you HAVE to pass the cahsee in order to graduate from highschool, but here's the thing... I am taking the CHSPE(california proficiency exam) in june and if you pass it, its the equivelent of a highschool diploma so you can skip 11th and 12th grade. So my question, since i am taking that test and will most likely pass it since i am studying very hard for it, will I still need to pass the cahsee or can i skip that since i am going straight to college after the CHSPE? Or will the college's not let me in until i take the cahsee even if i passed the CHSPE?

Note: I should have already taken the cahsee but i was sick on that day so i missed it but once i pass the CHSPE I wont be in 11th grade to retake it.

The last make up days are May 8th and 9th for 2012… You still have time to take it, but you’d have to schedule ASAP.

I took the CHSPE also, but I had already taken the CAHSEE. I would probably call someone at the state education office to find out if it’s necessary. Wouldn’t want that to hinder your graduation…
