<p>You should DEFINITELY list that you are trilingual. Even being bilingual can be a valuable asset in admissions. Contrary to what mayiplzgovertigo says, trilingualism (assuming fluency, or at least conversational and basic literacy) is really not that common, unless you happen to live in an extremely diverse environment or possess an extraordinary skill with languages.</p>
<p>Trilingualism is not common, and I have trouble believing the person who said they speak four languages, because three-four years of high school language class rarely makes one fluent.</p>

<p>That guy who made the poor black kid comment was just saying that it's unusual for someone who doesn't have the money to be traveling all over the place to be well connected in LA and DC.
