I was wondering if WM admissions could address the importance/and usefulness of subject tests. I was wondering because on the ACT math i scores a 28 (very average) however, on SAT math lvl 2 i got a 730 (which is alright) so when considering my standardized math score would WM weigh in the subjects tests? so essentiually does the 730 in math lvl 2 "balance" the 28?

thank you

From what I understand, subject tests at W&M are completely optional and play a pretty small role in the admissions process. I’m sure good SAT II scores will help a little, but they won’t be near as important as SAT/ACT scores.

For W&M, SAT IIs are optional. They are neither required nor recommended (with the exception of homeschooled students in which case they are highly recommended). If SAT IIs are submitted and strong it certainly cannot hurt an applicant but a strong SAT II unfortunately cannot make up for a weaker testing in the SAT I or ACT.
