I'm planning to go to a medical school after I graduate, and I heard that your undergrad schools matter when you apply for grad school, so how much of an impact does undergrad schools have on grad school?

for example, Do I still have a good chance of getting into top med school like harvard medical school and JHU if I didn't go to ivy leagues or other top-notch schools?

im not 100% sure but I think your grades are the most important factor of getting into graduate school.

I know GPA and MCAT are probably the most important factor, but I also wondering if your undergrad school is also considered as a major factor or just minor one.

BTW, I'm probably going to either UCSB, UCI, or UCD. Do top med schools considered those schools as good/competitive schools?

UCI is a great school for bio/pre-med

xranger, if you can maintain a 3.7+ GPA at any of the UCs and get an 11+ on your MCAT, you are in at many good medical schools.

You can. Many more spots are given to people from top UG schools though, but people come from everywhere.
