Importance of being an URM for top schools? (Harvard/Yale/Stanford/MIT)

Hey I’m just wondering if anyone really knows to what extent being an URM (Hispanic in my case) is in the admissions to these top schools. If you want to see my stats just look at my threads but I have decent scores/ a good ec/ and decent sports. I’m scared for my lack of writing ability in the essays but I am by no means a 1600/thousand awards/thousand leadership positions type of applicant. I’m probably going to focus on experiences working in fast food places, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, and being Hispanic throughout my essays. I’m just wondering if anyone understands the extent this would help my application?
Thanks.

(This question seems to come up at almost FAQ level frequency.)

If a school does consider it, it is not going to announce publicly how it matters and how much it matters.

An insider of a school’s admissions office may know, but outsiders will not know much other than what the general listing in section C7 of the school’s common data set says.

Yes. As @ucbalumnus states, admissions officers at the colleges know, but they are not telling. Nobody on this site really knows.
