Importance of financial need in admission?

I'm (probably) going to apply to Pitzer this coming fall. My academic qualifications are all above the average for Pitzer (4.0 gpa and 33 ACT) and I think I have a very good shot at getting in, but I have very high financial need and I know that the majority of Ptizer students do not receive aid, and I have heard that one of students' biggest complaints about Pitzer is that the financial aid is not great. Does anybody know how much my financial need might hurt my chances of being accepted?

My daughter got great aid from Pitzer. Just as good as the other 2 that she applied to that vouched to meet 100% of need. If you are bright enough(which it sounds like you are!) you may get the Presidential Scholarship as well…def. good aid!

i don’t think your finaid situation will hurt your chances at Pitzer,
but with the current economic situation one never knows. Pitzer
gives pretty good aid but if you have high need you will probably
do better at some of the higher ranked LACs. Pitzer is not a no-
loan school.
