Importance of your major in getting a job

<p>I'm a freshman at Ohio State University, and i'm currently undecided in my major, mostly because i'm unsure of which would be the best choice.</p>

<p>I'm having trouble choosing between Accounting, Economics, and Finance. I think that i'd like to break into the business world by becoming an accountant, and so an accounting major would seem the obvious choice, but i'm wondering if I should major in Econ or Finance and then just take the necessary accounting classes, since majoring in Econ or Finance would give me more options?</p>

<p>I’d major in accounting. The accounting firms and corporations are going to hire accounting majors first at your school.</p>

<p>Major in Philosophy. That will get you a job at an Investment Bank.</p>
