Important i have a take home calc test i need help on its related rates

<p>i need the answers to 3 related rate problems that i can just not figure out the first one is </p>

<p>1) At 3 pm a ship which is sailing due north at 12 knots is 5 miles west of a westbound ship which is moving at the rate of 16 knots
part a) At what rate is the distance between the ships chaning at 3 pm?
part B) At what rate does the distance between the ships stop decreases and start increasing?</p>

<p>2) Water is pouring into a conical funnel and although is it also running out of the bottom, the amount of water in the funnel is increasing at the rate of 3 cubic inches per minute. Of the conical part of the funnel is 5 inches deep and the mouth of the funnel is 3 inches in diameter how fast is the water rising when it is 2 inches deep?</p>

<p>3) Sand is being poured on the ground at a rate of 4 cubic feet per minute. At each moment it forms a conical pile with the hieght of the cone 7/3 of the radius of the base. How fast id the hieght of the pile rising when 21pi cubic feet of sand is in the pile?</p>

<p>Please i need help badly i have been absent for all of this unit any help would be greatly appreiciated</p>

<p>Reading a textbook to help you on a take-home exam is not unethical. It's expected.</p>

<p>yea i see that now...doesnt anyone on this forum care about anything other then grades even if i got all these answers right i would still get a about a 20 on this test</p>

<p>I'm not a huge fan of grades and grades are certainly not on good terms with me. But cheating on what is possibly the only grade you will receive for the entire unit, if not longer? I refuse to let that slip by.</p>

<p>ordinarlily i would never think of doing something like this but i have been absent for the past 5 days and just recivied this test from my teacher tonight and apparently everyone else in the class had it as a take home test last night so im basically screwed and i cannot figure anything out i am totally lost on the first one and the 2nd one i got .663 and number 3 i got 4/9pi but i just have no idea if theya re close or just totally wrong</p>

<p>2 things...first they supposedly had the test yesterday and secondly i am in an advanced math class with no one in my grade being part of this class other then me</p>
