I have seen a book about the ivy league colleges' admission process, it exposed many secrets about the real admission process, which is somewhat different from what they said. I haven't received this book by mail, but i'm glad to tell sth this thing.
do you guys have any imformations about some books that really help, for getting in top colleges?

The basic approach is pretty standard: Most difficult curriculum available at your high school, then gpa/rank, and then standardized test scores. After that EC's, essays and recs where you want to look unique and show long-term commitment and "passion" in one/two EC's.

Two insider books are "Admission Confidential" by Rachael Toors who was an adcom at Duke, and "The Gatekeepers" by Steinberg who is a reporter observing at Wesleyan. Another good book is "Harvard Schmarvard" by Jay Mathews. I don't know if these books will help you get in, but they would help someone better understand the process from the adcom's viewpoint.
