Are 2 academic teacher recommendations required or is 1 acceptable? I have several recommendations from teachers (elective courses), school administrators, and employers but I only have 1 recommendation from an academic teacher I've had. Thanks!

Two teacher recommendations is generally the standard and I believe that holds true for Cornell. Remember that first and foremost, the schools are evaluating you as a student. I would not send lots of supplemental recommendations, one to two at the absolute max. The admissions offices just don't want a lot of extra stuff like that. So I'd pick those who know you best and perhaps in a different context, like an employer, but only if they really will add substantially to your application.

Call in becuase it really depends on what you want to do! I know that arch is totally cool with having an art teacher count as one of the normal (not supp) recs.

I asked my 2 teachers today and they said it was fine. However, should I send my employer recommendation? I have a ton of work experience and I think a letter would emphasize my work experience although I feel it may be too much...

One additional one from an employer won't hurt. They just don't want lots of recommendations. A total of three is fine.
