IMPORTANT! - Water Filters and Bookbags

A-Bomb: DONT drink the water from the tap in the US. I lived in ALberta until i was 10, and then came here. Believe me, Since Canadian tap water holds up to different standards than AMerican Tap water, I have heard horror stories of people coming to the US and drinking from the tap and then getting cramps/massive diahreea (can't spell)/nausea...

Canadian tap water is much cleaner than AMerican Tap water...when we came here the first thing people told us was, well, if your body is used to Tap water in canada, then DON't drink the water here, cuase it's not as clean here cuz there's more chemicals, bacteria, etc, not to mention pollution...
well now i'm used to it, but it has been 6 years...so yeah...it can take a while.

Wonder what'd happen if you went to Mexico... ^_^

Thanks Monzei...so do most people just get a filter like the ones taht are being discussed here, for their room?

I dunno, I know plenty of people who have done big moves without water problems. You also get plenty of tap water in the food you eat because you had better believe that the dining hall isnt filtering your water. Maybe dont drink a lot at once if oyu are worried but its not that big an issue.
