Important!

Please reply soon. My interviewer has e-mailed me and said..."My name is ***** ****** and I have been asked to interview you as a supplement to your application to Princeton University. My evaluation is due in the beginning of February, so I would like to meet with you as soon as possible. What are the best days and times for you? I am available any evening Tuesday through Friday. The interview will probably only take about 30 minutes. Please email me back or call me at *********. I look forward to meeting you."

Isn't this interview optional??? What happens if I turn down the interview? Will it lower my chances for admission. When I looked at Princeton's admission factors on the Princeton Review college guide, the category of interviews was classified as "considered", out of the options "not considered", "considered", "important", and "very important".

Any advice is appreciated. The sooner the better...

Why would you turn them down?

Are you scared of other people

It is optional but highly recommended

refuse at your own discretion

If I refuse to do the interview, are my chances of admission much lower? You have not taken this question in consideration with your response.

Yeah, it would lower your chances.

Whats the big deal? Just go to the interview. If you don't, it looks very strange, since you were offered one. They probably would think you have something to hide.

What reason do you have for not going? And if you dislike school, what about P'ton is attracting you? Wouldn't it be a great opportuity to meet the interviewer and take the opp'ty to ask her about P'ton? BTW, it isn't such a great idea to post her name and # on the web.....

well if you have a good(and valid) reason for not doing the interview then it might be possible

But still, anybody who doesnt do it is like disrespecting the school, so be warned

You should be lucky you got contacted... i'm still waiting.
