Important.

Hey guys, just need some guidance on a few questions I have. Well, I didn't do as well as I thought I would my first semester in college.. It isn't finished yet, but I think I'm going to have around a 3.0. You might be thinking, "so what's your problem?" Well ya see, I'm trying to get into a top tier law school. Therefore, I need at least a 3.6. Basically, I have 2 questions. How high can I possibly raise my gpa? And secondly, should I stick with political science or switch to philosophy as a major? I heard philosophy majors tend to score high on the LSAT.

Let's say worst comes to worse and I finish with a 2.5, which is doubtful... How high, in that scenario, would I be able to raise my gpa?

Thanks for taking time to read this! It's greatly appreciated!

You’d need to maintain an A- average throughout the rest of your college career if you have a 3.0 first semester freshman year.

you are in college now, so I would hope that you can figure out the math on this OP – it just requires knowledge of Alg I.

I’m not too sure as to why you’d take time out to specifically comment on a post if you aren’t going to be insightful. Thanks.

Because if you can’t figure out the math for your GPA, you might want to rethink professional schools!
