Hey guys, lets say a person is low income, should they write about it in their essay eventhough it is indicated in the income section, or do colleges already see it even without writing it in the essay?

No, remeber the purpose of the personal statements are to "tell" the readers something about yourself that is not included in the application itself.

Since the readers can read your income section and "know" more about you indirectly, you want to share about something else in your essays.

Yup...you can refer to it in the essay if needed...but don't make your entire essay about it

It's a Personal Statement not Sob Story Fest 2007...you or whoever should not make "low income" the focus of your PS.

i wasnt asking about me, even if i did qualify for low income i wouldn't write about it, but i don't and obviously wont.
