Improve in math and science?

I just took the ACT and I got a 30 composite score.
35 English
27 Math
30 Reading
27 Science

I used the Real ACT prep guide and the ACT online prep program for my preparation. I took a "diagnostic test" for English a few months ago and it was a 29, and now look where it is! I'm very proud of that. However, my reading seemed to drop a few points from practice tests. (range from 31-34)

I had done no math prep really, which was a mistake. I hated geometry so much in school and then I discover that the ACT is filled with it. I understand the basic concepts of geometry but I need a good book, preferably something new like Barron's or something to help me bring up my math score a ton (refresh my memory, PLEASE!). I am actually good at math, I just freaked out during the test! And trust me, this flip out was quite disheartening. I felt like getting up and cancelling my scores, but I continued the test.

I also need to improve my science in general. I have taken plenty of practice tests and they all seem to fall in the score range of 28-30. I am in no way hoping to get a 36 or something, but I would like higher than a 27 in this section!

Please recommend good books for ACT prep. I am not interested in tutoring or anything of the sort.

Raising your math and science score shouldn't be too bad :P

i just took the december ACT testing and i got
E:33
M:36
R:30
S:36
Composite:34

So i pretty much loved my math and science score since those were the ones that pulled me to a 34. but um a few tips...

I bought the McGraw-Hill's 10 ACT practice test book and i thought it really helped me with every section. I thought the book mirrored the actual ACT pretty well so it did help me.

the math section, you should just review algebra I, algebra II, and geometry and make sure u don't miss one that you know on the test and i think you should we well off to 30+ math score

the science sction, it's really just another reading comprehension test except with graphs and numbers. don't try to understand what they're saying, just look for answers =D do a few practice tests on that section and you should be good
