I took the ssat recently and need to improve in all 3 areas.

I did much better on my practice tests and I know I can improve but would like to hear your thoughts/experiences.
What can I do to improve my chances of getting into Loomis?
Any advice would be helpful.
What percentile is each of those? Raw scores are hard. I don’t remember what’s “good.”

I would focus on verbal and reading. Have you tried the ssat online prep materials? You are probably ok for Loomis if you can get them to 80%.

@mercurrii your scores are actually not that bad it is good enough. If you are taking anymore tests you will probably do even better.
I am also prepping and my area of improvement is vocabulary. I am naturally really strong in math so i didn’t need to focus on that but, it is the easiest to study for. You can take a practice test and see which areas you got wrong and focus on those problems. For reading all you can do is read more. I try to read everyday for at least an hour. Start slow and then move up. For verbal i am just doing a lot of analogy practice and remembering vocab.

@mercurri I am naturally good at logically thinking so it wasn’t hard for me to do the math section. I can give you a few tips on how to prep for the section if you want.
@Mercurrii Your strong point is vocab and that is my weakest point.
