So next year I'm supposed to be getting a really hard 10th grade honors lit teacher, and apparently very few current sophomores in this teacher's class have As. This teacher expects a minimum of 1 hour of homework a night, doesn't accept late work, and gives out a lot of projects. This class is going to be the hardest for me next year, especially since I absolutely hate annotating and my speed is like 1 page an hour. Plus the 10th grade lit teachers expect a lot of content to be covered in every reading such as a significant sentence, elements of literature, connections to other books, answering questions, in depth analysis (not literally stated in the text; this is where I struggle the most), etc. etc. I really don't want to have to spend 5 hours a night on this class, like I do this year (I'm the world's best procrastinator), so what can I do to finish my annotations quickly but thoroughly? The teacher I'm getting next year is also supposed to be a REALLY hard grader.
