Improving Chances

I am currently a freshman in high school involved in varsity weightlifting and Habitat for Humanity. I currently have a 3.825 unweighted GPA and I am involved in very rigorous courses. My courses for next year are as follows:

English 2 pre ap
Ap environmental science
Ap physics
Ap Calculus ab
Ap Art History
German 3
Ap world history

I am a first generation American with both of my parents from Germany. None of my parents have graduated from a 4 year college and I would be the first to do so.

I know Harvard is a long shot, along with the other Ivy league schools, but I was wondering if there is anything else that I can do to improve my chances of getting in to Harvard or any other Ivy league school. Thank you in advance.

Do well on the SAT/ACT. Find a passion for your after school time.

please do yourself a favor and dont worry about college admissions this early
youre already doing more than enough, believe me
good luck!

I agree with sahar1811. But if you want to do something the best thing I can suggest is to start thinking about what your academic and extracurricular interests are, then dive into those classes / activities throughout the rest of your high school career. I made the mistake of doing what I thought colleges wanted to see instead of taking the time to explore and pursue what I actually like doing, and I don’t want you to make that same mistake.

Top schools like to see “passion” in the form of commitment, leadership, and innovation, which comes from being involved with things for a long time or creating your own clubs, fundraisers, trips, etc. But don’t freak out about this and join, like, ten things. Start off with just one or two activities so that you don’t get overwhelmed, especially with your courseload.
