Is there a way I can improve my reading speed? I have taken tons of CR practices tests but Im stack in the low 600s :(. I never get to finish a CR section; Im always around question 19 21 before time. Is there anything I can do to improve my speed before the January SAT?

reading will help ya improve your reading speed...

actually it doesnt rlly help to just read namkim.

go to readingsoft.com and pay like 500 bucks or take a class

yea like paying 500 bucks is gonna help more

well i think i am quite slow as well becuase i don't read books at all....this was the exact reason i messed up my october SAT CR...but in the December one i completed all the CR secions a good 2-3 mins earlier...i noticed that if you stay 'intersted' in the topic of your passage then your reading speed automatically increases becuase you then know which points to ponder upon and which ones to leave....don't let your brain wander off somewhere else because then you will start spending more time on the useless details just to understand the topic of the passage...

I don't read books and i got a 750 on CR.

it's a matter of whether you enjoy reading the passages or not that determines whether you will comprehend it and be able to answer the questions accurately.

Are you trying to read everything? I'm not a fast reader, so I basically skim the passages and later go back to find the details.

Yes I usually read everything. I have tried skimming but I get totally confused. I havent practiced skimming that much so maybe I just need to practice more.

I usually read everything, but if you're a terribly slow reader I suggest you use the Princeton Review's technique-- read the questions first, then go back and read the parts of the passages that you need to answer the questions.

sometimes, the questions dont go in the order of the passage though.
