Improving your SAT score

Hello

Im taking the SAT I in the beginning of October and with two months left to go, my scores are around 2100-2200 range (when I do standardized Collegeboard practise tests). My CR's around 600-700, grammar 750ish and my math is usually 800 or close to that.

Does anybody have any suggestions or comprehensive study plans for these two months?

IN A NUTSHELL: 2-MONTH CRAM PLAN? (with one month of school)

You’d be better off trying the SAT forum.

For me, it was just practice, practice, practice. Math is easy, but you have to avoid making careless mistakes. Easy 800. Writing is pretty easy for me because I’m an avid reader and grammar comes to me naturally. The only thing that might prevent you from an 800 is probably making a careless mistake on the MC.

Critical Reading was the toughest for me. Vocab was a piece of cake, but I always did decent on the passages. Make sure you conform to the answer choices and not argue your POV. Remember that your POV doesn’t matter; the answer is whatever makes the most sense logically.

I agree. All Critical Reading answers must make logical sense–you will find evidence supporting the right answers in the passage. Just keep taking practice reading sections, I suppose.

Take full, timed tests every weekend–that’s what I did in my prep class.

Also my SAT tutor said the fastest way to boost CR scores is vocab memorization, so you should get flashcards. TestTakers has a really good flashcard box that I used and I did pretty well in CR (800<3). ^^

Good luck! You seem to be doing well though.
