In a dilemma

Hello there peeps,

I'm new here, so I guess it's best if I first introduce myself. Well, currently I am a second year law student at a university in Malaysia (IIUM). The thing is, I am extremely lazy. For my first semester I had to basically repeat 3 out of my 5 courses. Thank god I passed them all when i re-took it.

Recently, I am very worried about my career prospects after I graduate. My CGPA is a 2.2, my GPA for my second semester is a 2.6 and if I'm not mistaken my GPA for my first semester is a 1.98. I'm trying my hardest to recover the lost marks in the next 3 years. Do you think I still stand a chance at landing a decent job in the future? I know the exact reasons, why I didn't achieve my expected grade and promise to learn from them. But for some reason, there's this voice in my head that keeps on telling me that, "it's over".

Also i would like to thank all of you for you assistance.

It’s only over when you admit it’s over. Just keep fighting.

I know how you feel. I’ve had a few bad semesters, which dropped my GPA to just above 2.0 at one point (IIRC). However, I’ve decided that all that means is that I have to work as hard as I can and get awesome grades. If I get all A’s this semester, I’ll have a 3.0 GPA with one semester to go.

So if it were to be OVER, what would you do?
I would suggest that you continue to increase your grades and do as well as you can.

If the law will be your profession, will you be looking to go into a law practice or go out on your own? You need to plan what you would like to do.
