How many people have the access to such things then?

It’s called working by yourself, figuring out how to make do without certain things, That’s what brings out the mark of a genius.

Doing something that requires metal without actually using metal is called innovation. Go experiment and stop reading. You’ll get smarter, i promise you.

To experiment you need MATERIAL and not everyone has access to the materials so to get them most need to go to labs, or whatever, to get them! And the only way for them to allow you in there you need INFORMATION

In the words of the late and Yale deferred joz, “You’re an arrant fool”.

Like i said in my post above, think outside the box and use the tools you have access to and try to make it work.

^Experimentation doesn’t necessarily refer to labs. It refers to life in general…which is like a lab, if you think about it, only without the stupid goggles.

Learning new information is fun, but only when I gain understanding about new material in a subject that I sincerely enjoy. I also agree with Daxlo, that there is a higher value to experience than knowledge. I would much rather spend my life acquiring information that fulfills personal needs and interests, living life facing things upfront and figuring out ways to solve the problems in our world. Einstein’s saying, that imagination is more important than knowledge, also serves a high purpose.

I guess I’m different, I would love to know all the information even if it didn’t have a practical use lol. As long it could be applied I would want to learn it.

^^Well, I also agree with that too. I love learning facts and information about everything, but there is more enjoyment in understanding info in a few subjects. For example, in college you would hopefully major in the the subject that you enjoy to the highest degree.
