In need of advice

In a few days, I am going to attempt to begin the process of paying off a past debt (13k) with Drexel for one semester I took two years ago. It is my hope that I can do so in order to attend Temple in the fall. As it stands, I would not have all of the means to pay the entire balance off by the September, only a portion of the balance. What would be the best way to best way to go about approaching Drexel? Should I go to the school directly? Should I send an email? Can anyone who has been in a similar situation before give any advice/tips on approaching this? Anything is appreciated.

P.S. I know ultimately the debt has to be paid off. I’m just asking what would be the most strategic way of paying it off.

Why do you need to pay it off before attempting Temple? Will they not release your transcript until then?

I would just call their business or FA office and explain what you’re trying to do. I’m assuming they won’t release your transcript until you pay it off? Definitely don’t email, be sure to call. You could go in person there I suppose. I would just call. They’ll tell you how to process a payment online.

@thetransfercoach - Normally, transcripts won’t be released until the bill is settled. Sometimes if a good plan is in place exceptions are made.

Call or go in person.
