Hey everyone :)
Let me start off with stating what schools I plan to apply to:

UCLA
Stanford
UC Berkeley
(and a bunch of others, but these are my main)

So here's my problem:

My schedule only has space for two classes of foreign languages. I took one in 9th grade, and I'm taking one right now in 10th grade. Next year I will not have any room left for a foreign language, since my schedule will be as followed:

AP Language
AP Chemistry
AP Biology
Pre-Calculus
U.S. History
ASB (this is a leadership class, since I was elected as the Junior Class President)
Boys' Swimming (varsity)
Symphonic Orch (I play the viola)

Each class is 10 credits, with a total of 80 credits (the maximum amount allowed).

Also, I will not be able to fit in a foreign language for my 12th grade, as this is the schedule I am planning on:

AP Literature
AP Physics
AP Government
Calculus
AP Statistics
ASB (planning on trying out for the school president)
Symphonic Orch
Boys' Water Polo (hopefully varsity) and/or Boys' Swimming (varsity)
(1st semester only) Marching Band (planning on learning saxophone)

(NOTE: I am allowed to do the above schedule as M.B. is only 2.5 credits, and it is allowed to exceed to 82.5 credits.)

So let me reiterate my problem again: UC schools recommend 3 years of foreign language, with a minimum of 2 years. I'm worried that this will break my chances. As you can all see, I have no way of fitting in another class, as I am jam-packed with core classes and extra-curricular.

(Sorry for the long post, it's about half done ;))

So in addition to all these things going on in school, I'm also on the leadership staff of three clubs (National Honors Society, California Scholarship Federation, and Students for Social Responsibility) with another small school leadership class that meet only like once every few weeks.
I also am a coach for a small swim team during the summer, and sometimes when I find the time (if ever), my viola teacher takes me to a senior center and I play my viola for some seniors.
(There are a few more, but I'm not gonna list them cause I got homework ;))

(This all sounds like overkill, I know.)

My dream major is Electrical Engineering in either UCLA or Stanford (if possible).

So people... what are my chances of getting in to either of them with one of the hardest majors to get into if I don't have the recommended amount of foreign language classes?

Thanks for taking the time to read this huge post!! :)
