Hey, tips aren't all they're cracked up to be. Often, they give employers the excuse to pay below minimum wage. For high school kids, 7/hr is not bad.

very true. i shouldn't complain, considering i make $5.15 at my other job. it's just very frustrating when you have friends who make $15+, under the table, too! lol

i got paid 7.50, that was after getting a handsome raise since they liked me so much. of course, a handsome raise would be more than a .50 cent increase. ><. sigh, but that was then. this is now, where I'm jobless. AHHHH!!!!

Keep trying for Kumon. ... Why don't they hire high school kids? The owner of my center only hires high school kids. Of course, she has a high turnover rate, with kids going to college and finding better jobs and all.

Oooh... I just found an office assistant job that pays 15$ an hour! I'll see if I can snag this one...

Oh wow, that's awesome! See what's involved, and if it doesn't sound too bad, go for it! Money isn't everything... but it's a lot to a poor teenager. lol

I work at a really great, clean Dunkin Donuts...it's 6 bucks an hour (without taxed :-/) but I just love the people. Plus it's across the street from my house (!) so it doesn't matter that I don't have my license yet lol

But back to the original thread's topic: calidan is one of my absolute fave CCers. He made me feel at home on the Dartmouth board even though it's not his true home...and he gave me back my nickname! lol. I think he'll end up somewhere great!

He really is one of the coolest CCers. I wish him the best! And you, bluirinka!

haha you too funky! from what i've seen of you on here, you're not so bad yourself :)

Haha thanks, guys! I know we will all get in to out first choices! :p

PS- go visit me on my party thread...

awesome how you're so popular here on the Brown board, calidan...hmm, maybe its cause your from cali ;)

Hehe- very possible, slicm. Californians are awesome. :D
