in reading, is it better to read the passage first or to read the questions first?

in reading, is it better to read the passage first or to read the questions first?

thanks a lot...I'm taking the Dec ACT and reading is killing me

It usually depends on the person... but most of the CCers prefer to read the passage first.

thanks a lot, but what if reading the passage costs me 5 min...

LOL. Then don't read the passages first. Seriously, you have a few days to find out which strategy will work best for you, so, use that.

I usually take 30 seconds to read over all sections and find the most interesting one, make outlines, skim it, and underline everything I think is important and answer the questions.

thanks a lot!

I read the passage as I am answering the questions.

are the ACT questions in order of appearance in the passage (exception of entire passage questions)?

No, the questions jump around.
