In-State versus Out-State

How big is the In-state/Out-state deal at RU.
I'm from NY. Does In-State have special advantages or is everyone considered the same?

Rutgers is a State school meaning they have to accept more kids within NJ than out of state. To get in out of state, you have to have pretty good stats. But it could also depend on the campus you wanted to go to. Do you have one in particular? Newark and Camden are easier to get into. New Brunswick is the hardest.

I found this on the website.

83.8% of all students are New Jersey residents and 16.2% are from out of state

Of course if your a New Jersey Resident tuition is a whole lot less than what someone who is from out of state will have to pay.

In-state vs Out-state is basically a non-factor. Usually I just feel bad for out of state kids who get shafted with tuition. No special advantages
