In what way can I get a good taste of what studying Mech E is like?

RacinReaver recommended me an introduction to MSE textbook to see some of the things they study or involve, and skimming through it, it looks fascinating. Is there a similar book or video or something that will give me a taste of Mech E? Im very indecisive and keep flip flopping every week. I don't think I want to double major because...well I don't want to lose my hair before I reach my 20s.

Edit: I just want to say that I might want to pursue a career in the space industry (satellites, etc) or have a career in research (although I wont know until my first research experience with a professor).

Mechanical engineering is so broad that I really can’t think of a good answer for you. You would need a textbook that gave a taste of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, solid mechanics, strength of materials, dynamics and controls, plus the machine design based on all this. There really isn’t an introductory textbook that I know of that would touch on all of those.
