<p>What is the most effective form of self-study? I've been trying to wade through the "Xiggi's SAT Prep Advice" thread, and I feel as though I'm wasting my time reading about all of these different methods and opinions. I'll be taking the SAT in October, and I want to spend my study time as effectively as possible. So...what has worked for you? What are you including in your study regimen now? How much time do you spend? etc</p>

<p>rule of thumb: make sure you spend the same amount of time taking the test as you do reviewing the test.</p>

<p>for practice tests use offical SAT practices from the blue book and from the online course. There should be a thread somewhere here with links to 10+ tests. Good Luck!</p>
