Hi, I am from India

I have received acceptance letters from the following colleges in their Fashion Design programs:
1. Drexel for Masters/Graduate (in Philly)
2- SCAD for Masters (Savannah)

I am an international student(Indian). I want to start my career in US.I am inclined towards choosing SCAD as the course is very strong and SCAD has a lot of branches too.

I would like some more help before coming to a decision.

You might consider renaming your thread with the title: “Drexel vs. SCAD for Fashion Design”.

Congratulations on your acceptances, too.

Savannah is certainly warmer than Phily.
What kind of grant does each school give? You may consider that.

I did not get any scholarships. I am very confused.

Thanks archer.

I have heard a lot of criticism regarding SCAD , its quarter system and the torture they give to students.

For grad school? If not, I wouldn’t worry about undergrad experiences.

This board doesn’t get much traffic for fashion design as it is primarily academic. You might click on the school links from this lest and read the notes. Looks like those are both good choices, but very different.

Go for SCAD. You get a three day weekend because there are no classes on Fridays. You also have only three classes a quarter. It is also on the coast and very warm. It is so beautiful there and full of history and pretty architecture! The programs there are great also and the fashion department always has a fashion show going on.
