Including research paper?

My D1, senior in HS, wrote a research paper from a physics summer internship at local university. Not publishable, but definitely something she is proud of.

IN the common app we are not seeing where to include this. Except for one school that did allow attaching supplementary material. But the rest (8) didn't. Do you send supplementary materials later directly to school once your admission is submitted?

Are we missing something? Or is this just wanting to include too much and admissions offices don't want this excess ?

Looking for insights.

Thnx

Colleges don’t want to see research papers. They only want what they ask for.

I agree, school admission officers do not want and are not going to read student’s research papers. She should include the internship and maybe the title of the paper on the application and that is it.

Agree with all of the above; if the school does not expressly ask for it, do not include it.

And for the one that accepts supplements, your daughter should ONLY submit a one page abstract/synopsis.

Thanks; we will follow this advice
