<p>I've been accepted to Cal State Long Beach for the Fall of 2010, and I'm trying to find information from prior and existing students which residence halls they prefer and why. Could someone help me better understand what criteria I should use to specify residence hall preferences on my application for housing?</p>
<p>I don’t know anything about LB’s housing…</p>
<p>But, in regards to criteria…</p>
<p>How old the building is (or when it was last renovated)</p>
<p>wireless capabilities</p>
<p>laundry facilities in the building</p>
<p>any group rooms in the building…like a game room or TV room</p>
<p>closeness to the buildings of your future classes</p>
<p>closeness to the school’s fitness facility (if you plan on working out a lot)</p>
<p>size of dorm room/size of closets</p>
<p>If the bathrooms are community style (in the hallway), is there at least a sink in each dorm room? </p>
<p>Do the beds have to be bunked in order for the room to be liveable.</p>
<p>Can each of the beds be lofted to add extra space?</p>
<p>Does each room come with a micro/fridge?</p>
<p>Is there a community full kitchen in the building for residents to use occasionally?</p>
<p>Does CSULB had online “tours” of their different dorms? Can you visit them?</p>
