No, let's start worrying again. I have a question for those who were notified:

How much of finanical aid was at stake? can it be that they only contact those who need a lot of financial aid, and don't bother with those who would get only a few thousand dollars OR nothing at all?

flavian - i have no financial aid need at all. im about to cancel my bid for financial aid.... actually... because my EFC is about 50,000$ and theres no way i would get money... so.... in short: no.

it takes way too much work for me to get like 5 bucks.... and have anyone SEEN the business/farm supplement? jesus christ..

I'm in the same position as irock and chewy: no way will I qualify for aid. IF, and big IF, I get in, we'll probably send the finaid stuff just to see what happens (thank God for a May 1 deadline). If I get anything: great, but if I don't, meh, I'll just get a job for summer and then another during school.

i put down on my app i wnated to apply for aid but then my parents told us we make enough money to not even qualify for aid.

if i filled out hte PROFILE and FAFSA< iwould've wasted my time.

so i guess no notification = rejection. Only schools to notify me for aid are jhu and berkeley so that's prob queue to brace for rejection letter.

I'm confused. Are you guys speculating that if you didn't finish/submit CSS/FAFSA etc., and didn't get a notice, than you didn't get in? I submitted my stuff pretty early, and haven't gotten a notice, so...that seems right. I have no idea what you guys are talking about.

I hadn't finished my financial aid application and got an email from the financial aid office on March 21st (and I read somewhere that the 21st was the day that Harvard decisions were finished and finalized).

BCgoUSC, everybody is just speculating. Because nobody here works at Byerly, I believe, none of us can actually say anything with certainty.

There's no way of saying that receipt of notification regarding financial aid indicates anything beyond the fact that part of your financial aid application is missing.

Nonetheless, it's fun to speculate! It'll help pass the slowly-ticking three days...

My EFC is $105.00. Hopefully, the only reason they're not contacting me for more financial aid info is that it's obvious that I don't make more than 40K and would qualify for that full financial aid thing, without having to consider 2004 taxes! I just thought of this now, so I don't have to be completely depressed until Thursday.

u guys relyin on fin aid to speculate????
haha i shall as well
like many of u i have not been contactted as well even tho my forms are not complete ( i conclude this cos send exactly same forms to mit and foudn out they were nto complete :0 )
secondly, only selected candidates are offered interview in singagpore and i was not among them, so yeah..............

Yes! Fin aid is a really good way to speculate, I think. So far, I've been right for Cornell and Northwestern. See, I know I have missing fin aid docs so I should be getting notifications if I was accepted.

And the good thing about this is that I'm actually not gonna go through with getting fin aid. I thought I needed it but after talking with my dad (noncustodial parent) and seeing that his net income was over a million dollars, I figured my schools are gonna want a donation, not dish out money to me..
