Soooo, my brother goes to a boarding school that is conveniently 3 hours away. It's not too far, and we can just drive there on weekends if he needs anything.

I've had big interest in those schools that are 7 or 10 hours away, but I'm worried about the inconvenience of living that far away.
If he ever needs anything, we'll just drive over there on the weekends or something. And it seems like those needs are pretty important. But if he lived like 10 hours away, it makes me think, how would he survive?

How do you guys live through it, how often do you go back home, etc?

I live less than three hours away from my BS but have a lot of international friends that need to fly 13+ hrs and they seem fine. If there is ever an emergency, chances are that either a teacher or a day student family can help.

I like about 5 hours away (6 hours during most trips due to traffic) and trust me, that is no day trip. It stinks, but with train, plane, and car, trips up here are manageable. :D

Hmmm.
Another problem with me going to a far-away boarding school is that, my bro’s in one direction, I’m far away in the other, and picking us up on holidays won’t be too fun. Especially for my dad’s un-young age, haha.

I live six and a half hours away by plane so that means no going home on weekends or anything. It’s annoyong during things like parents weekend when everyone is going home and stuff and you can’t.
