i know that there are a lot of threads on here about people freaking out due to a drop in their senior year grades, but what if there is an increase in your gpa due to your senior grades? i was deferred at my #1 school with a gpa of 3.3 but now i have a 3.5 UW and 4.2W. i am really excited and wanted to know if this will help me.

Congratulations -that's a big jump. It will definitely help if colleges see you're working hard and actually bringing your grades up, rather than going into a senior slump.

Good work! My son's grades went up quite a bit, too, but he's mad at the school where he was waitlisted so won't send them anything else. Have your guidance counselor send out a new transcript ASAP.

Is that really wise? He may be mad now but if it's his first choice and he doesn't get in the rest of his life will be one long hellish exercise in "what if...".
