Increasing GPA Over Undergrad Career

<p>Hey,</p>

<p>So in a nutshell I am starting to debate on whether my major is right for me (I am in Aerospace Engineering -- do not know yet if I want to swap or not, but that is a different and irrelevant story). My current GPA (freshman year/kind of into sophomore yr) for my major with all its math and science goodness is ~3.44. So, although I am not complaining about the GPA for engineering, I know it is not great for a really good law school. </p>

<p>If I were to swap majors next semester and end up with, say, closer to a 3.7 for end of sophomore to senior year (with a total average of around maybe ~3.6 for all 4 years), would it be looked on more favorably than having around a 3.6 without showing the GPA was improving over time/due to changing majors? </p>

<p>Don’t worry I took BS classes and the same GPA at that point, you are doing well, not excellent but way above average</p>

<p>Thanks for the reply, but are you saying they do or do not make a distinction between improving GPA/ major change or just the GPA on average?</p>
