I took my first SAT in June 2010 without studying and received:

Critical Reading: 430
Math: 400
Writing: 500 (essay: 8)
Total: 1330

I was highly disappointed.

After studying more on my critical reading and math, I took it a second time in October 2010 and received :

Critical Reading: 470
Math: 410
Writing: 500 (essay: 7)
Total: 1380

I was still highly disappointed. I wanted to reach a 1500 or higher and I was very hopeful. Everyone was comparing their scores and saying they got a 16 this or 17 that or 15 that. It seemed that I had the lowest score ever. I felt dumb.

Now, I plan on taking the December SAT for the last time and I want to score at least an 1800. When, I told my friend that I planned to study all this month and my goal and how I wanted to try harder, she deemed it as impossible to drastically improve my score THAT much. She said I should try to get about 500's in each. I've also talked to my AP teacher and she recommended the ACT saying that I might do better in that.

I want to study at least 5 hours a day, after homework, except Saturday afternoons.
I also want to focus on one every 2-3 days and do a full on practice test on Sunday mornings. So far I've been studying my math, with breaks, since 4 (It's now 8:30).

Do you think it's possible? I think it is if I tried...
Also, do you happen to have any advice for me or websites I can go to to for help?
