What did you write for their app essay?

I realized that since they have a School of Engineering and Applied Science, as well a BSE, I could reuse my Princeton essay ;)

In other cases, do what astrix said - "jsut bs around"

And congrats in advance on becoming a senior member

yeah

I'll mumble...he'll mumble
neither of us will understand each other
we'll go home
nice

check it out...it has some arguments abt IITs and princeton...

sucha...a 1600 legacy with a hook is GONNA get in no doubt. u probably are gonna get a likely letter as well so dont even think u wont get in...its people like me who are struggling to get into even the dustbin - cornell.

SP thats a load of bull crap and you know it :)

no...im dead serious. Im just getting prepared for a rejection, and a gap year. hopefully ED option will be there next year and i'll apply then, with a maybe a stanford or harvard Summer school and some interesting research + get my book published and patent a traffic regulation equipment that I invented. With all of that and hopefully higher SATs, they should let me in ED. I woulda just turned 18 anyway so its normal age to enter college. But im really serious when I say that u stand a 90 % chance. there are only 3 or 4 1600s in India, and out of them not many will be nationally recognised AND have a legacy. its kinda like trying to shoot a pop can with a tank...ur gonna hit.

please sucharita... just accept what he says. i've had enough of this! :p

ur not just gonna hit...ur gonna blow it away...

"dustbin - cornell"

Cornell has the one of the best Engineering & Sciences programs in the country, so I wouldn't call it 'trash' just because it has a higher acceptance rate!!

lol...hello..I didnt mean it in that sense. but it is a fact that a cornell degree < Princeton degree. Princeton grad gets the better job and the bigger $$$. I was trying to say that I'l end up in a dustbin after going to cornell...just exaggerating. and...i was typing too fast that it conveyed a totally wrong meaning cuz i left out half the sentence ;)

i was not talking about my own chances when I said you were bsing
I was talking about your calling cornell a dust bin
sorry about the ambiguous post

btw. hello, whats ur real name? its kinda weird to say "hello" when addressing u :p

wow...so my last post is redundant

IGNORE PLEASE

And tell me some good things about Penn otherwise I'll just start talking about Princeton at tomorrow's interview. Which is going to do NOTHING for my chances.

Look up the penn site and sound all-knowledgable (sp?) of Penn college and its courses. fling a couple of course names that ud like to take and it'l make a mark...maybe talk about penn's diversity or some sh *it like that, or maybe even about how it's better than so-and-so uni at some sport. I dont know which ones but i bet if u google em ud get some decent info to flaunt around to keep ur tongue tied abt princeton :p

SP you can call me AB* ;)

*those really are my initials

big deal. my best friend's initials are AB too. In fact thats what we call her

lol. I found one more indian applying to princeton :( check the what's my chances thread and its near the top. It talks about if his SATs are up to the mark or not. hes got 1530 800/800/660 and he's freaking out. wait till he sees my stats. he probably can never use his PC again cuz it'l be covered in vomit... :p

"so-and-so uni at some sport"
penn is undefeated in the basketball this season so far in the ivy league

"...which made my early decision an easy one. Princeton remains my first choice and I hope you will make my choice in April as easy."

Do I sound drunk or what?! I just noticed I repeated choice twice. Is it very weird?

MIT: adi, hello,
Harvard: nomad, akash, astrix
Princeton: such, merc, me

that would be nice SP and Hello, the only the thing is i haven't applied to HARVARD!!

so the new list reads

MIT: adi, hello,
Harvard: akash, astrix
Princeton: such, merc, me
Tufts or Cornell : me !!!!

and btw SP Princeton degree worth than cornell degree? pshh thats bulls h i t. Seriously if you get a job inthe US which prefers Princeton to Cornell letme know!!!( lol assuming you are not applyign to be a teacher at Harvard or Pton!:D)

Such as a fellow poster said go to upenn.edu ( or is it penn.edu? ) and go to the links which talk about college life and all. Don't talk much about rankings ( ::cough Wharton::cough::) and just say how you like the phillies (baseball team) and how Upenn has one of the most diverse student population among ivy leagues along with Cornell. You can talk abt bball too as adides said!
