<p>yeah kind of.I got an email fFrom Mt Holyoke's assistant director of admissions saying that they enjoyed reading my app and were very excited that I was applying but I dont know whether thats standard policy or not</p>

I dont know what the standard policy is, but I can tell you that the email could/would be intrepreted as a 'likely email'. The admission officer liked your application and if they like applications, they admit student. I might be wrong, but if Mt. H does not send out likely letters, this might be a way to let their top prospects know about their interest.</p>
