What did you guys put down for this? I mean I have hobbies and such outside of the extracurricular I listed, but I'm not stellar and unique. For instance, I'm an expert skier (blacks and double blacks) but I'm not on a ski team/race.

yeah i am struggling with that too but i think i am going to talk about the open studio club at my school. we are allowed to do anything in the art room relating to art so I was going mention how i sow crochet and knit and make practical things

I was stuck on this initially too. I wrote that I was a classically trained pianist, put down my favorite styles, and the years I participated. I also wrote that I like to ski and I’ve done it for 6-7 years and that I had been to Nevada, Colorado, and Wyoming and that I had gotten a racing medal once before.
I think that is generally what they look for.

I left it blank and got in EA.

I put (among other things) that I have “extensive knowledge of Justin bieber trivia” and I got in EA. lol, don’t take it too seriously. Just put something that doesn’t really fit in other parts of the app, like hobbies etc.

What do you think your edge was? What do you think helped you get in? How were your SAT scores if you don’t mind me asking?

I wrote that I’m good at memorizing and reciting poetry, and listed some of the poems I’ve memorized. Kind of a nerdy/random thing, but I figured it was quote-on-quote “different”. Guidance counselor got a kick out of it. We’ll see what admissions thinks.

I don’t see this question on the application part two. Mine just starts with “In the space available discuss the significance to you of the school or summer activity in which you have been most involved.”

It’s like under the section where you list your clubs and awards I think.

I took a funnier approach, and wrote some weird random facts about myself, like “SUV parking expert, C-Span Junkie”
