Individual Frats

Can anyone tell me what each individual frat is like around campus and what the normal person in each frat would be?

Ya:

ADs: liberal alternative guys, not usually athletes with some exceptions

Betas: Football players, not the brightest bunch on the whole

Delts: Swimmers, some a-holes, some nice guys

PEEPS: drugs

Psi Us: still around? lax, they have a nice lodge

DKEs: some tennis players on occasion, some lax guys once in a while, smaller guys generally, business orientated

Phi Kaps and D Phis, I mean whatever

what about the sororities?

Sororities are less popular than frats at Kenyon and there are also less of them, I wouldn’t say any particular type of girl joins a sorority but there are definitely some that are viewed more positively than others.

D Phis: Lots of baseball players, normally nice guys

This cracks me up! I was at Kenyon thirty years ago, and the frat profiles were the same! :)

How demanding is the pledging process at Kenyon? I know at some schools it basically consumes an entire semester

Soccer players?

Soccer players can’t join frats, their coach doesn’t let them, he is English and thinks soccer is enough of a frat as it is.

Pledging is what it. Very enlightening, I know. It depends on the group. It’s basically a week of doing whatever they older guys want you to do. The school has some guidelines, and there have been some instances lately where they’ve been broken and the frat ends up in hot water. You’re likely to get through it a little sleep deprived, but otherwise fine.

College43022…that is interesting. On my son’s OV he mentioned frats and coach said nothing about this. Are you on the team? I don’t see why the coach being English would have anything to do with it.

Just thought I would bump this thread for the new class of 2021
