So recently I was feeling pretty good about my ACT score (34) until someone told me that with my individual math subscore, I probably wouldn’t have a high shot of getting into some top schools for business since they like high math subscores. I want to major in the business (and related majors) so I have always been interested in schools like Wharton, Olin, Ross, McDonough, etc. I got a 29 on the math (36E, 29M, 36R, and 33S).
But my thing is if they look at my actual composite ACT score, I would be in a good position. So do admission officers doubt you (as an applicant if one of your sub-scores is lower for a subject they want you to be good in) or focus on overall more??
I assume like if you wanted to major in science and you tanked the composite score, I would get it. But is 29M really “tanking” it? Should I take it again (although I don’t know if I would do higher, but you never know)?
Plus, to add I always have had A’s in math classes (which shows on my transcript)*
