Industrial Engineering and Supply Chain Management

Is it a smart idea to get a degree in both IE and SCM. Sure it might be a lot of work but in the end, won't it be worth it? I understand that IE on it's own is quite difficult but I feel as if obtaining a degree in both would help me greatly.

Yo makaruni. I had the exact same question myself. IE or SCM or both? If you are proficient in higher level math(calculus), IE will not be too difficult. Both IE and SCM would be really good, but IE by itself would be better. Think of how many undergraduate business majors there are compared to IE majors. You should do just IE on its own and take electives in SCM. Employers will be more likely to hire the engineering major vs the business major, and they will pay the engineering major more money. Considering advancement in a company, you move through the ranks , your major does not. In my opinion, you should jusd do IE not IE and SCM. It is definitely harder, but the rewards are much greater. Do whatever you want though.
