Look at FIT in nyc – https://www.fitnyc.edu/film-and-media/
In-state tuition is like $6k-$7K per year.
Paul, is this an int’l student or one from your home state (not NY)?
Does this student have high stats?
@mom2collegekids He will be international student if he comes to USA. right now he is in his home country. I have no clue about his stats. He is a friend of friend of mine and I didn’t ask anything about his stats. I will see
FWIW, here’s one list of top film schools:
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/lists/best-film-schools-2015-top-828483/item/ithaca-college-top-25-film-823664
Schools on that list with the best need-based aid (in general, not necessarily for internationals) include Columbia University (NY), Northwestern, Stanford, USC, and Wesleyan. They also are some of the most selective schools in America.
As you can see, the ones with the lowest full-sticker tuition rates include:
$15K Colorado Film School
$17K UT Austin
$18K San Francisco State
$19K Art Center College of Design, Pasadena
$22K Florida State
$23K UNC School of the Arts
$24K Columbia College, Chicago
UT Austin should be very attractive, if he has the stats and can afford the tuition plus other costs.
I don’t know what the student’s budget limitations are, but Temple has an excellent Film & Media Arts school, and it is considerably less expensive than, say, NYU or USC.
Univ of NC in Wilmington
you can also look into SUNY Purchase
